INK2015 to Inspire India

CSR Times

INK, a community that transforms imagination to impact, will hold its annual flagship conference on October 16–18, 2015 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Themed ‘Disrupt’, INK will host achievers from diverse walks of life who will share their success stories and look to inspire young Indians to make a mark in their respective fields by thinking different and creating a facilitative environment for disruptive ideas to flourish.

Lakshmi Pratury, Host and Curator of INK told CSR Times, “It’s not enough to raise awareness of social problems. We also need to aggressively share solutions that are working in every corner of India. Absolutely amazing work is taking place already—we need to shout about such initiatives from the rooftops. Only by sharing information can we truly bring about large-scale social impact.”

“With INK, there is no hiding one’s light under a bushel. Our platform showcases the best ideas from today’s thinkers and doers, so that these ideas can catch on and grow. INK Conference features change-makers, philanthropists and social activists like Anu Aga - the Padma Shri Award recipient for distinguished work in the field of Social Work, Babar Ali- world’s youngest Principal, who started a school in his backyard at age 8 and today, at 22, serves over 900 children, Madhukar Dhas - Founder and Director, Dilasa and Sanaya Bharucha - Education Activist among others,” Lakshmi Pratury added.

“Disruption has been a buzzword in recent times, be it in innovation, technology, or any other context. Based on our theme, “Disrupt”, the INK Conference will bring together changemakers who have dared to challenge the status quo. We are always on the lookout for bold thinkers who are creating an impact in this world, and INK gives them a great platform to shine and be heard”, said Lakshmi Pratury.

“We are delighted to partner with INK Talks as Edelweiss’ values and innovation led culture is well aligned with INK Talks platform and it’s 2015 theme, ‘Disrupt’.  Disruptive thinking today is bringing in a lot of fresh and new ideas. We are increasingly seeing adoption of transformative processes rather than just incremental improvements and this is in line with how new age India thinks and does. We look forward to the conference as ‘disruptive’ individuals from across a spectrum of cultures and disciplines take the stage”, said Rashesh Shah, Chairman and CEO, Edelweiss Group.

The world’s visionaries- CEOs, entrepreneurs, artists, scientists and more- gather under one roof for a cross-pollination of ideas and chance encounters for the next big breakthrough. The three-day ‘Intellectual Mardi Gras’ of sorts celebrates successful milestones of change-makers who share their stories, ideas and perspectives for about 3-18 minutes.

INK also identifies a multi-disciplinary group of young achievers under the INK Fellows Program. These hand-picked individuals have demonstrated the ability to forge new paths in their respective fields. This year, 21 bright individuals including Gingger Shankar, multifaceted Virtuoso Violinist, Singer, Composer; Richa Singh, co-founder of YOURDOST-an emotional support network for people and Babar Ali, an award-winning educator, among others will have the opportunity to help take their brilliant work to the next level.

To allow students and young professionals to experience the stimulating experience of INK, INK Live 2015will be streamed live and uncut at ISDI Parsons, Mumbai campus.
